About the Project
In an ongoing effort to provide quality wireless service, AT&T has identified your community as one that will benefit from improved network coverage.
Milestone Towers is proposing a wireless telecommunications facility at Culpeper County High School, addressed 14300 Achievement Drive, Culpeper, VA 22701.
The proposal is for a 150-foot monopole and will include ground equipment required to operate the facility.
This equipment will be located at the base of the structure in a secure fenced area. AT&T will be the first wireless carrier to locate on the proposed tower.
Update#5: The Conditional Use Permit (CUP U-2238-23-1) was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 2, 2023
Update #4: The Conditional Use Permit (CUP U-2238-23-1) was approved by the Planning Commission and we will go before the Board of Supervisors Tuesday, May 2nd @ 7:00 pm.
Update #3: The Conditional Use Permit (CUP U‐2238‐23‐1) will go before the Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 12th @ 7:00 pm.

During the course of the meeting a question regarding the height of the existing fields lights was asked. We confirmed the Baseball field lights are between 47’- 66’ in height and the Football field lights are between 49’- 86’ in height.
Update #1: Online Town Hall: On Thursday, March 23rd @ 6:00 pm we will hold an online Town Hall consisting of a short presentation followed by a question and answer time. Registration is required and can be completed on the Town Hall page.
Our Process
1. Due Diligence
Survey, FAA, FCC, NEPA, Phase 1, Geotechnical Analysis.
2. Land Use
Conditional Use Permit Application, Community Meeting, Staff Review, Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors.
3. Permitting
Conduct Bid Walk With Contractors and school representatives, submit Site Plan and Building Permit applications.
4. Construction
Tower construction = 4-6 weeks | Carrier construction = 4-6 weeks on average
On-site supervision by Construction Manager | Schedule with schools to minimize disturbance to student activities.
5. Site Maintenance
Four visits per year for site maintenance | Remove trash, debris, check signage.
Annual RF testing | 2-4 visits per year for carrier modifications.
